Dr. Willi Raeber Donation – Study Library on Swiss Alpine Painting in the 18th and 19th Century

In 2004, thanks to a donation by the heirs of art dealer and Caspar Wolf scholar Dr. Willi Raeber (1897-1976), the SIK-ISEA Library opened a small study library on Swiss Alpine painting in the 18th/19th century.

The Study Library on Swiss Alpine Painting in the 18th and 19th Century primarily consists of topographical, political and literary sources as well as 20th-century publications on the Swiss artists known as the “Kleinmeister”. The holdings of the Willi Raeber Study Library are catalogued separately under the shelfmark WR and can be accessed via swisscovery.
