How did Switzerland become a centre of the art trade and who were the players? Answers to these questions can be found in this newly published three-volume overview setting out the history of the art trade in Switzerland, which is supported by a freely accessible database. The publication and the digital research tool are outcomes of the research project “Players in the Swiss Art Trade” at SIK-ISEA (2022–2026). Together they offer new perspectives on the evolution of a major cultural and commercial network.
