In 2013 SIK-ISEA acquired the photographic estate of Basel art critic Maria Netter (1917–1982) on permanent loan from the foundation Fotostiftung Schweiz. The collection consists of approximately 2,000 films with contact prints. It offers intimate and multi-facetted insights into the avant-garde art scene in Switzerland and abroad between the 1940s and the late 1970s.
