The «Virtual Showcases» offer a glimpse of the extensive collection of artists’ fonds held in the Swiss Art Archives.A selection of photos, letters and diary entries convey an impression of the documents preserved by SIK-ISEA.
In 1985 SIK-ISEA received a segment of the estate of Ernst Georg Rüegg (1883–1948) as a gift from Irène Rüegg. The bulk of the fonds consists of 33 sketchbooks and a substantial number of manuscripts by the artist. The holdings also contain correspondence, photographic studies and personal teaching documents.
